Abstract

Students’ understanding of mathematical concepts in elementary school, particularly in the topic of plane geometry, remains low due to its abstract nature and the limited use of interactive learning media. This study aims to analyze the utilization of Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) in improving the conceptual understanding of third-grade students at SDN Ridogalih. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subjects consisted of the teacher and third-grade students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the use of IFP enhances students’ conceptual understanding through more visual, interactive, and engaging learning presentations. Students become more active and enthusiastic in participating in the learning process and find it easier to understand plane geometry concepts. Supporting factors include teacher readiness, integration into lesson plans, and positive student responses, while inhibiting factors include issues related to internet connectivity, electricity, and technical aspects of the device. Therefore, IFP is effective as an interactive learning medium in improving elementary students’ understanding of mathematical concepts.
